Trapped in front of familiar faces,
mind racing desperatly retracing,
how on my part was their miscalculation,
the penny was dropping…but i still had time for preparation!?
Intuition had left my side, oblivious to the door knocks revelations,
my ship sailing in calm waters drifting towards the fall,
as time stood still, I realised the cost…
the penny had already dropped.
No route for escaping,
1 piece of evidence clenched in her hand remaining,
betrayed by ink stains on paper,
1piece that eluded my radar,
1letter, stronger than a signiture,
more devastating than the force of a tsunami,
in one slow motion moment I was exposed,
nolonger others play dough
but removal of my halo,
no choice, the dots had been connected to reveal the full picture,
my soul burning, trying to protect an unknown freedom,
boldly going where some had been before…i think so (wasn’t sure)
just an avenue I had to explore…
I told myself as i was booted out the door.
But don’t underestimate fear,
it had prepared me from before,
opened my eyes to the writing on the wall.
